Diary of an athlete – part 6
Last week was all about legs…. mainly because I had injured my finger playing on Saturday, but also because they are pretty essential for sprinting!
This meant that the prowler was brought back out. I think I have a love-hate relationship with it…
I love the fact that it gives you such a good workout – doing one heavy push the length of the studio feels like the equivalent of about 20 sprints. But it’s tough!
We also did more hamstring and glute work using a glute-ham raise which allows you to lean fully
forward and really work the muscles.
My legs are feeling much stronger and the fact that (touch wood) I haven’t injured my knee or muscles is definitely testament to all the work we’ve been doing.
